[Work processes in nursing].

This essay presents in a didactic way the constitution of work process in Nursing comprising: to manage, to assist, to research and to participate politically, presenting their elements and the interrelation among them, demonstrating that the work of Nursing is complex and multifaceted requiring a set of knowledge, skills and attitudes that are articulated in a proper way to produce a transformation of the nature with specificity that characterizes particular spheres of Nursing activity, social contribution and political insertion with which nursing professionals need to operate in a conscious way.
