Abstract
In studies on the effect of chronic experimental alcoholism on the heart, rats were given 15% (v/v) solution of ethyl alcohol ad libitum instead of water to drink for 8 months. Histologic examination revealed degenerative changes in the myocardial fibers, and histochemical examination diminished activity of oxidative enzymes.Entities:
