Abstract
We report a patient with a long history of hydroxychloroquine use. Clinical examinations had been performed according to American Academy of Ophthalmology guidelines with no abnormalities. A multifocal electroretinogram (mfERG) was performed to further assess macular function. Multifocal ERG may detect macular dysfunction earlier than the currently recommended screening guidelines in patients with potential for macular toxicity from hydroxychloroquine.Entities:
