Abstract
Streptococcus pneumonia-associated hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) (pneumococcal HUS) is an uncommon condition mainly observed in young children. Early recognition is critical, because of the potential to improve morbidity and mortality. In our review we summarize the pathophysiology, clinical features, diagnostic difficulties and management of this potentially under-diagnosed condition.Entities:
