Abstract
In this report, the case of a 65-year-old woman with cough and dyspnoea is described. The chest radiographs showed a sharply demarcated mass located in the left paravertebral hemithorax and a left pleural effusion. Computed tomography after intravenous contrast material showed a heterogeneous, mainly cystic mass with peripheral enhancement and enhancing intratumoral foci and septa. Magnetic resonance imaging confirmed the location and enhancement pattern of the lesion. Histology following the surgical excision of the tumor showed a localized fibrous tumor of the pleura and specifically the hemangiopericytoma-like type.Entities:
