Abstract
This case report on primary pulmonary coccidioidomycosis outlines a typical presentation in an individual at high risk and the pitfalls that can occur to practitioners unfamiliar with this disease. The patient was a 36-year-old black male who presented with an initial abnormal chest X-ray and who eventually was correctly diagnosed and improved on a 30-day course of ketoconazole. This patient showed no signs of dissemination.Entities:
