Abstract
Inherited acidosis may result from a primary renal defect in acid-base handling, emphasizing the central role of the kidney in control of body pH; as a secondary phenomenon resulting from abnormal renal electrolyte handling; or from excess production of acid elsewhere in the body. Here, we review our current understanding of the inherited renal acidoses at a genetic and molecular level.Entities:
