The central nervous system in systemic lupus erythematosus.

M A Khamashta1, R Cervera, G R Hughes.

Abstract

Management of central nervous system (CNS) involvement is one of the most challenging problems in systemic lupus erythematosus. This article reviews the spectrum of CNS manifestations present in this disease, their diagnosis and pathogenesis, as well as an approach to their treatment and prognostic implications.
