Abstract
We report a case of metastatic spread to skeletal muscle in a patient with an inoperable NSCLC complaining of a painful swelling of the right thigh. The treatment included muscle resection, radiotherapy to the thigh and chemotherapy, and resulted in complete pain relief There was no local recurrence, but the patient developed multiple systemic metastases and died 11 months after the muscle resection. Skeletal muscles metastases from lung cancer are rare and although indicative of a poor prognosis, local aggressive treatment may be worthwhile.Entities:
