Abstract
We report on the management of Candida endocarditis in a 5-month old infant. The orifice of the tricuspid valve was totally obstructed, and the tension apparatus of the valve destroyed. Excision of the valve led to severe failure of the right heart. The combined use of anti-failure treatment, and reduction of right ventricular afterload with oxygen, nitric oxide and sildenafil, proved successful.Entities:
