Abstract
CD24 is widely used as a marker for differentiation of multiple lineages of cells and can provide costimulation for T cells, especially in non-lymphoid target organs. Recent studies demonstrate that CD24 controls an important genetic checkpoint for homeostasis and autoimmune diseases in both mice and humans. Understanding the molecular and cellular basis of CD24 function could provide important insights into T cell biology and autoimmunity.Entities:
