Abstract

Community-acquired methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is approaching epidemic status, with life-threatening consequences. Prevention of MRSA infections can best be achieved by hand hygiene. Antibiotics should be chosen on the basis of culture results and sensitivity.
