[Epidemiological characteristic of viral hepatitis C in large industrial city settings].

Prevalence of hepatitis C between different groups of population of Irkutsk is described and leading role (73.3%) of injection drug use as a risk factor has been shown. It has been established that persons with alcoholism and unemployed persons are additional groups of risk of HCV-infection.
