Abstract
The frequency of inhibiting and activating killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptors was similar in 331 patients with rheumatoid arthritis and in 354 controls. Patients and controls came from a relatively homogeneous Caucasian population from Northern Ireland, thus limiting population stratification. Furthermore, no differences were found when the patients were sub-divided according to gender or shared epitope and when the presence of the human leucocyte antigen ligand was taken into account.Entities:
