Abstract
We describe a case of pneumopyopericarditis caused by a mixture of fungal and bacterial pathogens. This originated from a gastric ulcer (within a hiatus hernia) which had eroded into the pericardial sac. Further complications included the late discovery of the ulcer and asplenism. Similar cases have been reported, but to the best of the authors' knowledge, none with an actual mixture of the two pathogens.Entities:
