Abstract
Psoriasis is one of the most common chronic and recurrent dermatosis. Aetiopathogenesis of this disease is complex and not yet well known. Lately, besides many different factors regarded to play an important role in psoriasis pathology, hormones have been taken into account, too. The paper discusses, based on the available literature, the impact of various hormonal factors on development and modulation of psoriasis course. Authors emphasize the possible role of sex hormones, stress hormones, prolactin and somatotrophin axis hormones in aetiology of this dermatosis. They also try to establish, what interrelationships between endocrinologic system and skin in psoriasis are. Further research connected with this issue could lead to new clinical implications as well as therapeutical methods in dermatology.Entities:
