Abstract
The effects of the cholinesterase inhibitors physostigmine and tetrahydroaminoacridine (THA) on memory and performance deficits induced by scopolamine were studied using an operant delayed non-matching to position task. No effect was seen on the performance of rats when treated with either physostigmine (0.1 mg/kg IP) or THA (1 mg/kg IP) alone. However, the performance deficits induced in the task by scopolamine (0.03 mg/kg SC) were reversed by the same doses of the cholinesterase inhibitors.Entities:
