Ovariectomy, ovariohysterectomy and orchidectomy in rodents and rabbits.

Abstract

This article describes the surgical procedures for the ovariectomy, ovariohysterectomy and orchidectomy in rodents and rabbits. The indications for each procedure are outlined and effective and safe anesthetics are described. Preoperative and postoperative care is also discussed.
