Abstract
Reduction of transmission is important for effective malaria control. Standard microscopic detection grossly underestimates the human transmission reservoir. Malaria transmission intensity is defined by local and focal conditions. Transmission-blocking vaccines may be effective by directly targeting identified hot spots of transmission.Entities:
