Paul Ehrlich (1854-1915): founder of chemotherapy and pioneer of haematology, immunology and oncology.

The Jewish-German histologist, microbiologist, bio- chemist, immunologist and pharmacologist Paul Ehrlich, by his research founded chemotherapy and pioneered im- munology, haematology and oncology. For his contribu- tion in immunology he was awarded the Nobel Prize of Medicine and Physiology in 1908.
