Abstract
The fluorescence emitted by the functionalized ZnS nanocrystal at 440 nm could be efficiently enhanced or quenched when various peptides were added. The mechanism of the fluorescence enchancement and quenching of ZnS nanocrystals was discussed. The binding constant and numbers of binding sites was obtained from the Scatchard plot. The change of fluorescence intensity was in proportion to the concentration of peptides. The limits of detection were in range of 0.011-0.028 microg mL(-1). Application results to synthetic samples showed simplicity, rapidity, high sensitivity and satisfactory reproducibility of the presented method. Measurements of real samples also give satisfactory results which were in good agreement with those obtained using high performance liquid chromatograph (HPLC) and liquid chromatograph-mass spectrograph (LC-MS) methods.Mesh:
