Abstract

The pyogenic liver abscess is a potentially life-threatening disease with low incidence, which has undergone significant changes in epidemiology, management and mortality over the past decades. Usually, patients with pyogenic liver abscesses present to the emergency department with fever of unknown origin. The computed tomography (CT) is basic to confirm the diagnosis.
