Abstract
Targets for anaemia treatment have been largely evaluated. A target > 11 g/dL is currently recommended. High target (13-14 g/dl) is contraindicated in patients with cardio-vascular disease. In patients without cardiovascular disease, a target of 13-14 g/dl could bring an improvement in some symptoms of quality of life. In hemodialysis patients, a high target decreases the dialysis efficiency, increases the risk of clotting into the dialysis circuit and increase the risk of vascular access thrombosis, in particular in case of graft.Entities:
