Abstract
Splenic echinococcosis is a rare disease even in endemic regions. The most commonly affected organ is the liver, followed by the lung and the spleen. In this article we discuss epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnosis, pathophysiology, pathologic features, imaging findings, complications, differential diagnosis, and treatment of hydatid disease of the spleen.Entities:
