Phlegmasia cerulea dolens.

Abstract

Phlegmasia dolens is a rare form of massive venous thrombosis of the lower extremities that is associated with a high degree of morbidity, including venous gangrene, compartment type syndrome, and arterial compromise. We report the sonographic findings in a patient who presented with phlegmasia dolens. (c) 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
