Abstract
Previous data suggested that PCR amplification of specific alleles (also known as allele-specific amplification and amplification refractory mutation system) is not a general method for rapidly and accurately detecting known single-base changes. Herein we present our experience with the use of PCR amplification of specific alleles to detect 69 polymorphic or mutant alleles. Our results indicate that with proper optimization, all alleles were reliably distinguished.Mesh:
