Abstract
Intramural gastric abscess is a rare condition representing a localized form of suppurative gastritis, which was described in the time of Galen. Cases are usually diagnosed either with a combination of imaging modalities such as upper gastrointestinal series, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), and endoscopic ultrasound or in conjunction with endoscopy and laparotomy. The authors describe a case of intramural gastric abscess in which the diagnosis was made preoperatively using axial, coronal, and sagittal reformations obtained with multidetector CT.Entities:
