Abstract
A 49-year-old patient with breast cancer had a leiomyoma that rapidly enlarged shortly after she started therapy with tamoxifen. Exploratory laparotomy was necessary to confirm the diagnosis. The rapid growth may have resulted from the estrogen agonist properties of tamoxifen or alternatively by ovarian stimulation resulting in endogenous estrogen production.Entities:
