Abstract
An HIV-positive white man developed hypercalcaemia and renal failure 15 months after starting highly active antiretroviral therapy. Investigations showed systemic sarcoidosis affecting parotids, skin and kidneys. This presentation was thought to be a manifestation of immune reconstitution inflammatory syndrome, and the patient was successfully treated with corticosteroid therapy.Entities:
