Fillers in the periorbital complex.

J Charlie Finn1, SueEllen Cox.

Abstract

Periorbital rejuvenation often includes volume replacement in the periorbital complex. Current blepharoplasty techniques rely on volume redistribution but often can be supplemental or replaced by volume replacement with injectable fillers. Volume replacement can be done with several different materials, but precise placement is critical to each. This article reviews anatomy, indications, and techniques using various injectable fillers in the periorbital complex. Avoidance, treatment, and identification of complications are presented.
