Abstract
The blood supply to the intestines is a complex one, including branches of the three main splanchnic arteries as well as a vast collateral circulation. The variant anatomy and collateral pathways are described, based on anatomic dissections and angiographic studies, to focus attention on anatomically based explanations for clinical entities.Mesh:
