Abstract
We report the case of a recipient of liver transplantation in whom postoperative perihepatic hematomas were infected by Mycoplasma hominis. Etiologic diagnosis was delayed because this organism is a rare cause of postoperative infection and usually does not grow on standard bacteriologic media. The role of M. hominis in postoperative infections and the diagnostic problems of this organism are discussed.Entities:
