Abstract
Many medical articles have problems with methodological aspects. To help prevent this, medical statisticians should be more involved in all aspects of medical research. Having more statistical reviewing of manuscripts submitted to journals should also help, but will not cure the problem. This paper makes some suggestions that may help authors make manuscripts more acceptable methodologically, but there is no substitute for statistical involvement throughout the research process.
