A New Indole Alkaloid Glycoside from the Leaves of Palicourea marcgravii.

Abstract

A new indole alkaloid glucoside, named palicoside, has been isolated from the leaves of PALICOUREA MARCGRAVII (Rubiaceae) collected in Brazil. The structure was established by spectroscopic methods and its chemical conversion to strictosamide.
