Five taccalonolides from Tacca plantaginea.

Z L Chen1, J H Shen, Y S Gao, M Wichtl.

Abstract

The isolation of five bitter-tasting steroids as minor constituents from the Chinese medicinal plant Tacca plantaginea (Taccaceae), taccalonolides G, H, I, J, and K is described. Their structures were elucidated mainly by spectroscopic methods.
