Abstract
Most cases of obturator hernia are diagnosed during surgery for treatment of acute small bowel obstruction resulting from incarceration. We present the case of a patient with incarcerated obturator hernia that was correctly diagnosed by computed tomography preoperatively. Laparoscopic preperitoneal mesh repair of the incarcerated obturator hernia and a contralateral direct inguinal hernia found incidentally was successfully performed.Entities:
