Abstract

Cardiac myxoma is a rare disease with a variety of nonspecific clinical manifestations. Embolic phenomenon is a well-known entity. However, total occlusion of the descending aorta by saddle embolus is very unusual. We report a patient with cardiac myxoma who presented with acute onset of bilateral lower limb ischemia and total occlusion of the abdominal aorta by a large saddle embolus.
