Abstract
A case of advanced maxillary ameloblastoma was successfully treated with combined intra-arterial chemotherapy (Peplomycin, 85 mg) and radiotherapy (Co60, 7080 r). The tumour showed a remarkable shrinkage, and the patient survived. He is still alive and well at the time of this report. Carefully applied chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy has a useful role in the management of ameloblastoma especially in an advanced maxillary tumour. This report presents a typical example, which indicates that the ameloblastoma may not be an inherently radioresistant and chemoresistant tumour.Entities:
