Abstract
A cell responds to a chemotactic signal by activating actin polymerization and forming a protrusion oriented towards the source. Recent work shows that the activity of cofilin, a protein that creates new barbed ends for actin filament elongation, amplifies and specifies the direction of the response in carcinoma cells.Entities:
