Abstract
Periprosthetic supracondylar femoral fractures after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) are difficult surgical problems. We report a case of an 84-year-old female, in which an original method was applied to treat a periprosthetic supracondylar femoral nonunion just proximal a femoral component. The new method features extending the stem of the femoral component with a Küntcher nail. Eventually bony union was obtained and the patient is now able to walk without any support.Entities:
