Abstract
Since the introduction of uterine artery embolization as a minimally invasive treatment option for uterine fibroids, there has been a great deal of effort made toward developing other options for these patients. These options approach the problem differently, either with direct targeting of individual fibroids, organ-wide targeting of multiple fibroids, and systemic therapy to address the problem of fibroids using a hormonal approach. This review will focus on the different techniques and different philosophies that have been applied to the treatment of fibroids during the past decade.Entities:
