Abstract
Electron microscopic studies of the pancreases of 3-week-old ICR Swiss mice infected with Venezuelan equine encephalitis virus and killed 6 days post inoculation (at which time they were moribund) indicated significantly more type-C particles than were found in uninfected controls. This phenomenon was apparently possible because of the microanatomy of the pancreas, in which interstital spaces allowed accumulation of virus particles.Entities:
