Abstract
We report a case of gastric emphysema following placement of nasogastric (NG) tube. Gas in the wall of the stomach is a rare finding seen in various clinical situations. The reported cases fall into two different categories: "gastric emphysema" and "emphysematous gastritis". Differentiating these two entities is important, as the first one is usually a benign condition, but the second one carries a poor prognosis.Entities:
