Peptides made to order.

Hans-Georg Rammensee1.

Abstract

How loading of major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I-specific peptides by conserved degradation machinery is performed economically has now been resolved by Kanaseki et al. (2006) in this issue of Immunity: The individual MHC molecule serves as a template for its own ligand.
