Abstract
The various analytical procedures for the analysis of free silica in environmental samples all suffer serious deficiencies, to the extent that there is no acceptable routine method. Each sample represents a minor research effort. Many of the uncertainties are related to an amorphous surface layer on quartz.Entities:
