Abstract
The authors report the case of a patient hospitalized for bilateral pyelonephritis and emphysematous cystitis requiring bilateral nephrostomy. This rare disease occurs in diabetic patients and is essentially due to Escherichia coli and Klebsiella pneumoniae. Treatment consists of antibiotics and renal drainage or nephrectomy. The prognosis is poor with a mortality rate greater than 50%.Entities:
