Abstract
The authors report a case of disseminated mucormycosis presenting with left renal and muscular involvement in a 20-year-old immunocompetent man. The patient died rapidly before the diagnosis, established on histopathological examination of the nephrectomy specimen. This case illustrates the diagnostic difficulties and poor prognosis of this rare fungal infection.Entities:
