Abstract
Splenic rupture after colonoscopy is rare. Only 44 cases previously have been reported in the English literature. Partial capsular avulsion is the proposed mechanism of injury. Any condition causing increased splenocolic adhesions may be a predisposing factor to splenic injury. One case of splenic injury after colonoscopy is reported in addition to a complete review of the literature.Entities:
