Abstract
Weissella confusa is gram-positive, catalase-negative, short rod or coccobacillus that has been isolated from a wide variety of habitats. We describe a rare, severe infective endocarditis of native valves caused by W. confusa that was detected incidentally on echocardiography. The patient recovered completely with valvular replacement plus antibiotic therapy.Entities:
