Paediatric perioperative anaesthesia environment.

This paper reviews the primary guidelines for management of the paediatric perioperative anaesthesia environment. The role of environment is defined in the different preventive strategies to improve quality of paediatric anaesthesia (i.e. decrease in perioperative complications due to anaesthesia). Recommendations for patient care facilities, patient care units and postoperative intensive care are summarized.
